Summary
This is the master data of basic information on Japan’s prefectures, processed by Truestar based on administrative area data collected and processed using the National Land Numerical Information.
Features/Usages
This dataset provides basic information about prefectures, including prefecture codes and names. Using the PREF_CODE (prefecture code), it is easy to combine spatial data such as “Prefecture Representative Point Data [PR_GEO_PT]” and “Prefecture Polygon Data [PR_GEO_PG]” with “Prefecture Survey Statistics Data [PR_ST]”.
