Summary
This dataset includes the estimated future population per 1km mesh, which is edited and integrated by truestar based on Digital National Land Information, MLIT – Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

Features/Usages
These are the population data per 1km mesh in intervals of 5 years in 2015 and 2020, and the future estimated population data in intervals of 5 years until 2050.
We translated prefectural and municipal name from administrative district code that the original data has. You can easily extract the necessary data when filtering by ages, prefectural name or municipal name.
By overlaying POI of your business areas or your expected business areas, you can forecast the demand of these areas from the estimated future population and analyze the business impact.
Because the size of this dataset is very large, we strongly recommend filtering by “PREF_NAME” at first.
