The “medical care area” is set up in the medical care plan established by the prefectural government to ensure the proper allocation of medical resources to provide comprehensive medical care in accordance with local medical needs.
The “third care area” is a medical area that provides specialized medical care such as a mental ward, an infectious disease ward, a tuberculosis ward, or advanced and cutting-edge medical care. In principle, each prefecture is defined as one unit. Only Hokkaido is divided into six regions. This data set provides the tertiary coverage polygon and its attribute information.
