Summary
This dataset is a compilation of population data by age group and gender for cities and towns, processed and integrated by truestar based on the national census data published by the government’s e-Stat.
Features/Usages
This is a social and demographic statistics dataset by municipality in Japan. It includes population data by age group (in 5-year increments) and gender, and by filtering the data, it is easy to obtain information on the necessary age group and gender.
Using the municipality code, it can be easily linked to other datasets such as “Municipal Basic Data by City, Ward, and Town [CI_FD20].”
