Land Price Potential Dataset in Japan is a dataset that provides the average land price for each tertiary mesh (500 m mesh) in Japan.
Data sold by Giken Shoji International Co., Ltd. is distributed by truestar Inc. on the Snowflake Marketplace. Survey point data from the Public Notice of Land Prices and the Prefectural Land Price Survey published by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism is converted into small-area surface data using a smoothing method to produce the estimates.
Because it is provided on Snowflake, it can easily be joined with other data such as demographic data, trade area data, and sales data, enabling large-scale, high-speed spatial and time-series analysis.
Please note that this listing provides sample data. If you wish to purchase the full dataset, please contact us separately.
Provides average land prices by tertiary mesh (500 m mesh) in Japan (JPY/m², JPY/tsubo)
Estimated with a smoothing method based on the Public Notice of Land Prices (approx. 26,000 survey points) and the Prefectural Land Price Survey (approx. 21,000 survey points) from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism

Updated annually
Converting scattered survey point data into mesh-level surface data makes regional comparison and time-series analysis easier
Can be used for long-term trend analysis, such as land price movements, changes in urban structure, and the impact of redevelopment and infrastructure development
Can be used for data-driven asset valuation and location strategy, such as valuing land assets and identifying areas with high future potential
Can be used for area comparison that does not depend on administrative boundaries when planning area strategies such as new store openings and site placement
Applicable to a wide range of uses, including real estate investment analysis, area marketing, store location evaluation, and urban analysis by government agencies and research institutions
