This dataset is a compilation of the population aged 15 and over, broken down by prefecture, occupation and gender, based on the 2015 national census data published by the government statistics e-Stat and processed and integrated by truestar.
This is a population statistics dataset classified by occupation by prefecture. Data is held in 12 classifications based on the “Japan Standard Occupational Classification” established by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, including “administrative professionals” and “sales professionals”.
Using prefecture codes, it can be easily linked to other datasets such as “Prefectural Basic Data [PR_FD20] by Prefecture”.

■About PREF_04_CENSUS2020 and PREF_04_CENSUS2020_2:
In the 2020 national census, “Population aged 15 and over [people]” and “Percentage by occupation [%]” were published in separate tables, and a new column “Age (5-year age group)” was added only to the population aged 15 and over.
treustar aligned the table structure with that of 2015 and prepared two tables: one without the “Age (5-year age group)” column (PREF_04_CENSUS2020) and one with the column (PREF_04_CENSUS2020_2).
Since the original data in the table with the “Age (5-year age group)” column (PREF_04_CENSUS2020_2) does not include “Percentage by occupation [%]”, truestar processed and added this value.
