This dataset is a collection of data on the population of people aged 15 and over by industry and gender in each municipality, processed and integrated by truestar based on the 2015 national census data released by the government statistics e-Stat.
This is a population statistics dataset categorized by industry for each city, town, and village. The data is classified into 20 categories based on the "Japan Standard Industrial Classification" established by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, including "agriculture and forestry" and "finance and insurance".
It can be easily linked to other datasets such as "Basic Data by City, Town, and Village [CI_FD20]" using the "City, Town, and Village Code".

About CITY_03_CENSUS2020 and CITY_03_CENSUS2020_2
In the 2020 census, a new column "Industry ratio [%]" was added and published in a separate table, and a new column "Age (5-year class)" was added only to "Population aged 15 and over [people]".
Truestar has integrated two tables to match PREF_03_CENSUS, and prepared "CITY_03_CENSUS2020" without the "Age (5-year class)" column and "CITY_03_CENSUS2020_2" with the "Age (5-year class)" column.
Since the original data does not have "Industry ratio [%]" in the table with the "Age (5-year class)" column (CITY_03_CENSUS2020_2), this value has been processed and added by truestar.
